Receiving “Throttled” message while accessing Outlook? Here is the fix!

On Wednesday morning, users of Outlook have reported receiving a message that says “throttled” while attempting to log in. Outlook users across the globe were facing this error while trying to log into Microsoft’s email program, and even, its Skype for Business application. The tech giant mentioned on their Twitter handle that they have noticed the issue and the concerned team is looking into it.


The company has advised the users who are not able to look into their Outlook email to exit the program and then restart it after a while. Microsoft Office 365 (available for download at tweeted that they have launched an update recently, which could be a possible reason for this error to occur.

The officials have rolled back the update and said that we are taking remedial action to address an issue which is restricting the users for accessing Outlook and Skype. To find more details on the issue, users can visit the admin portal.
